| 摘要 | 본 연구는 동국대학교 불교학술원에서 구축한 한국불교문화포털의 현행 데이터베이스 구조를 분석하고, 관계형 데이터베이스(RDB)의 구축을 통한 개선 방안을 제안하고자 한다. 현재 한국불교문화포털은 기사정보와 불교용어 등 정적인 텍스트 위주 콘텐츠를 중심으로 정보를 전달하고 있으며, 다양한 관련자료를 연결하여 정보의 확장성을 보완하는 형태를 취하고 있다. 이러한 구조는 개별 원고의 내용을 전달하는 데는 효과적이나, 데이터 간의 관계성을 명시적으로 표현하거나 기계적으로 해석할 수 있는 형태로 구성되지 않았기에 향후 관계성에 기반한 확장과 컴퓨터 기술, 기계학습 적용 측면에서는 한계가 존재한다. 이에 본 연구는 현 기사 중심의 콘텐츠 서비스 시스템과 관계형 데이터베이스 시스템이 상호보완적으로 작동할 수 있는 체제를 제안하고자 한다. 이를 위해 기사 내 포함된 인물, 장소, 문헌 등의 데이터 유형을 정의하고 그 관계성을 기술할 것이며, 이를 기반으로 지식관계망을 구성함으로써 정보 탐색성과 디지털 활용 가능성을 크게 향상시킬 수 있는 방안을 검토하였다. 구체적인 기술적 방법론으로는 온톨로지(Ontology) 설계와 RDF 기반의 관계형 데이터베이스를 제시하고 샘플 데이터를 구축하였다. 이상의 논의를 통해 한국불교문화포털이 향후 한국불교의 지식정보를 대중에 전달하는 플랫폼은 물론 디지털 불교학 연구 사례로도 기능하기를 기대한다. This study aims to analyze the current database structure of the Korean Buddhist Culture Portal and propose an improvement plan through the construction of a Relational Database (RDB). At present, the portal primarily delivers information through static, text-oriented content centered on article entries and Buddhist terminology, supplemented by various reference materials. While this structure is effective in conveying the content of individual articles, it lacks the ability to explicitly express relationships among data entities or to enable machine-readable semantic processing. As a solution, this paper suggests a complementary system in which the existing article-based content service and a newly constructed RDB framework operate in an integrated and mutually supportive manner. To achieve this, we define key data types—such as individuals, places, and texts—embedded within articles and propose a method to represent their interrelationships. Based on this structure, a knowledge network can be developed to enhance data connectivity, user navigation, and the overall utility of the portal for digital applications. The study further explores technical methodologies, including ontology-based design and RDF (Resource Description Framework) modeling, and constructs a sample dataset to demonstrate feasibility. Through this integrated approach, the portal can evolve not only as a public platform for disseminating knowledge on Korean Buddhism but also as a foundational resource for future digital Buddhist studies and humanities research. |
