| 摘要 | This article traces a widespread misunderstanding in Western Tibetological literature that mdos are synonymous with ‘thread-crosses’ (nam mkha’) used in various rituals. In fact, the term mdos has a much broader implication. The article explores the nature, function and origin of the mdos to show that mdos rituals have in general the function of removing spiritual and material obstacles. Cet article revient sur un malentendu largement répandu dans la littérature tibétologique occidentale, selon lequel mdos désigne les ‘croix de fils’ (nam mkha') utilisées dans divers rituels. En fait, le terme mdos a une signification beaucoup plus large et l’article explore la nature, la fonction et l’origine des mdos pour montrer que les rituels mdos ont en général pour fonction d’éliminer les obstacles spirituels et matériels. |
