| 摘要 | From the 1930s to the 1950s, archaeologists researching in Malaysia adopted the migration theory to explain prehistoric cultural changes. The Indianization or colonist theory was another popular idea. Among the earliest scholars who advanced the colonist theory was H. G. Quaritch-Wales. However, from the 1960s, both the migration theory and the colonist theory began to be challenged by archaeologists who studied new data available to them as a result of later research and discoveries. |
