| 摘要 | In the past two decades, China has been going through a historic period of religious revival, and the diversified development of religion is already an irresistible trend Nevertheless, as Yang Fenggang points out, due to ideological constraints, there is a shortage of institutionalized religion in China today and the people's evergrowing need for religious faith is not being met. This has resulted in a situation where "religion is notflourishing but witchcraft is pervasive ". We ought to recognize this problem and learn from successful experiences, such as the American and Indian models, in addressing church-state relations so as to deal with challenges likely to arise in the future. |
