| 摘要 | Este ensayo analiza las diferentes fases de la construcción histórica occidental de mitos sobre el Tibet y el impacto que ha tenido en el desplazamiento del "verdadero" Tibet y de la cultura tibetana. También examina cómo, a partir de la década de los años ochenta, los refugiados tibetanos se apropiaron de algunas características de estos mitos con el fin de reafirmar la percepción occidental en torno de la singularidad del Tibet, a pesar de las imprecisiones que presentan estas imágeries en relación con las realidades cambiantes del mundo tibetano contemporáneo, como pane del desarrollo económico, la modernización y la sinización. El ensayo sostiene, además, que esta autorrepresentación ha ayudado a la causa política tibetana en la construcción de una narrativa nacional histórica que contradice las justificaciones imperiales de China. This paper explores the different phases of Western historical construction of myths about Tibet and the impact it has had on the displacement of the a "real" Tibet and Tibetan culture. It also examines how, from the 1980s onwards, some of the features of such myths have been appropriated by Tibetan refugees to reinforce the West's perception of the uniqueness of Tibet, regardless of the inaccuracies these images present with the changing realities of contemporary Tibetan world, caused by economic development, modernisation and sinification. It argues that this self-representation has served the Tibetan political cause in constructing a national historical narrative that contradicts Chinese imperial justifications. "Mythos Tibet" is significant in that it contributes to the shaping of the relationship between Tibetan refugees and Westerners in their interactions in South Asia, as well as in Western countries. It also contributes to the shaping of Tibetan exiled identities. |
