| 摘要 | In this paper it is argued that soft, mind-oriented approaches to the study of antiquarian remains, championed by post-processual or interpretive archaeology since the 1980s, were already being employed widely in art historical studies in India in the early decades of the twentieth century. In particular attention is drawn to the rich contributions made by E. B. Havell and Ananda Coomaraswamy towards this end. |
