| 摘要 | The discovery of extensive remains of painted murals in the D13 temple of Dandan Oiliq (Khotan) by Christof Baumer, in 1998, has shed new light onto our knowledge of Khotanese Buddhist art, yet it has not received so far the attention it deserves. The paintings will be analysed afresh also in the light of the murals unearthed in another temple of the same site, by a Sino-Japanese expedition, in 2002. Particular attention will be devoted to what they can tell us on the religious and iconographic legacy of Brahmanical cults in Central Asian Buddhism. |
