摘要
불교상담치료사로서 갖춰야 할 자세에 대해 검토를 했다. 주안점은 칼 로저스가 말한, 치료사로서 갖춰야 할 세 가지 기본자세에 대한 설명이었다. 로저스의 관점을 불교적 관점에서 비춰보기도 했다. 불 교상담치료사로서 상담 상황에서 부딪치게 되는 문제들, 곧 저항, 전 이, 역전이의 문제를 어떻게 보고 다루어야 할지에 대해 간략하나마 그 리뷰를 해봤다. 불교상담치료사는 명상에 대한 풍부한 경험이 필 요하고, 개인 발달 심리에 대한 공부에도 큰 관심을 가질 필요가 있 다. 성숙한 치료사가 되기 위해서는 무엇보다도, 불교에서는 말하는 보살 정신을 구현하는데 있음을 상기해야 한다. 이러한 안목이 상담 테크닉 보다 더 소중한 가치임을 강조했다.
This article discussed about proper attitudes of the Buddihist counselling, based on the three core conditions of a good counsellor emphasized by Rogers, C.R.. However, this article pursuits the subject further, applying his theory to specific needs of the Buddhist counsellor. A Buddhist counsellor also faces problems of resistance, transference, and counter_transference in a counselling ; these problems and their solutions are briefly reviewed from the Buddhist viewpoint. A Buddhist counsellor should have a wide array of experience in meditation, and study the individual developmental psychology thoroughly. But most of all, a respectable Buddhist counsellor should embody and realize the spirit of Bodhisattva, which is more important than the general counselling techniques, in a counselling.
