| 摘要 | This paper demonstrates the continuing relevance of Weber’s concept of legitimation as an intrinsic and seminal aspect of his study on the Hindu social system and processes of state formation and Hinduization. In the light of this analysis the paper questions the validity of Sheldon Pollock’s recent strong critique of the concept of legitimation. |
