| 摘要 | As a Professional Economist, this writer had several opportunities to engage Sachin Chaudhuri in talk on matters of current economic moment but it is not about the stimulation he, like several others, received from such discussion that this memoir is about, nor of Sachin's achievement in provoking a new trend in applied economic thinking in India nor even of his unique role in helping to provide, through the journalistic medium, a new class of young Indian economists with opportunities of applying their minds to contemporary economic problems. This piece is about what is possibly a lesser known side of his-his deep, abiding interest in Buddhism and this country's Buddhist heritage. |
