| 摘要 | 본고에서는 고서(古書)에 수록된 상주권공재의 의식문헌을 토대로 상주권공재의 구성과 체계를 살펴보고 현행 상주권공재와의 동이(同異)를 비교분석 하였다. 더불어 상주권공재의 원형에 정합성(整合性)을 확보하고자 의례집에 수록된 의식문의 공통성을 도출하여 의식문의 방향성을 제시하였다. 그 결과 상주권공재의 의식체계는 신중작법, 엄정의식, 설법의식, 건단의식, 소청상위[제불통청, 관음별청], 소청중위[신중단], 소청하위[관음시식], 회향의식[봉송･회향]으로 정립된다. 또한 상주권공재의 특성을 살펴보면 첫째, 설단(設壇)의 채비가 용이하다는 점에서 사찰에서 언제든 설행할 수 있는 상용의범이라는 성격이 강하다. 둘째, 도량교주(道場敎主)의 존격(尊格)을 갖추고 응신(應身)으로서 항상 도량에 상주하여 중생들을 구제한다는 한국불교의 관음신앙을 토대로 하고 있다. 셋째, 망자를 위한 추천(追薦)의 성격과 재자(齋者)의 현세 안녕과 복을 위한 염원이 대등하게 공존하는 특성을 지니고 있다. 상주권공재의 의식체계를 갖추고 있는 의식집이 보존되고 있음에도 불구하고 의례연구가 활발치 못한 연유로 현대에 발간된 특정 의식집에만 의존하여 누락되고 생략된 의식문 그대로 상주권공재가 설행되어 왔다. 자료가 없으면 모를까 보존된 자료가 있으므로 올바른 전승을 위한 일환으로 본고에서 밝힌 의례집을 중심으로 상주권공재의 의식체계에 맞게 새롭게 편찬되어 복원되어야 할 것이다. This paper examined the composition and the structure of Sangjugwongongjae (常住勸供齋) based on the ritual literatures of Sangjugwongongjae in old books and analyzed the similarities and differences with the current ritual performances. Also, in order to ensure consistency with the original form of Sangjugwongongjae, this paper suggested the directivity of ritual text by deriving the commonality of the ritual texts included in the collection of rites. As a result, the ritual system of Sangjugwongongjae is organized the following: Sinjoongjagbeob (神衆作法; a ritual to invite the deities who advocate Buddhist teachings to protect and help sanctify the site of the ritual), Eomjeong (嚴淨; to purify and sanctify the site, and to worship and admire the Buddhas and Buddhist teachings) ritual, Seolbeob(sermon) ritual, Geondan (建壇; to set an altar for the Buddha) ritual, Socheongsang-wi (召請上位; a ritual to invite the Buddhas and present offering to them), socheongjung-wi (召請中位; a ritual to present offering to the deities who advocate Buddhist teachings), socheonghawi (召請下位; a ritual to offer food and Buddhist teachings to the dead), and hoehyang (回向; to share the virtue widely with all beings) ritual. In addition, the characteristics of Sangjugwongongjae are as follows. First, in that it is easy to prepare for the ceremony, Sangjugwongongjae has a strong character as a regular ritual suitable for performance at any time in a temple. Second, Sangjugwongongjae is based on the Korean Buddhist belief on the Avalokiteshvara, who holds the dignity as a master of a sanctum [道場敎主] and always resides there to save all beings. Third, Sangjugwongongjae is characterized by a balanced coexistence between prayers for th deceased and wishes for the current well-being and welfare of the living participants. Despite the collection of rites that contains the ritual compositions of Sangjugwongongjae is preserved, Sangjugwongongjae has been carried out relying only on specific ritual texts published in modern times omitting and leaving out some parts of the ritual due to the lack of active research on rites. Given the existence of preserved references, the ritual text of Sangjugwongongjae should be newly compiled and restored centering on the collections of rites studied in the paper, to ensure their proper transmission. |
