| 摘要 | The following essay is a comparison of the current state and potential value of Lumbini (Nepal) and the Shikoku Eighty-Eight Sacred Places circuit (Japan) as pilgrimage and tourist centers. Based on recent data gathered by the author, he seeks to examine the experiences of recent pilgrimages in Shikoku and speculates on the possibility of the future development of, and international collaboration between, these two famous religious sites. |
