The life and death concern problem has always been an important topic that Chinese traditional philosophy faces,Confucianism,Buddhism,and Taoist all gave their own answer for this.But opposite in the Buddhism and Taoist to say,the early Confucianism excessive paid close attention to what was this shore world that the mankind existed,requesting people to treat life with a positive attitude,but Confucian had not a systematic explaining to the theories which involves the ultimate concern of the human life and death.And this has made it weakness of Confucian.the Cheng brothers in Song Dynasty draw lessons from and absorb Taoist life and death theory in the foundation,and further established and developed the theories of the life and death concern of Confucianism.They think that a person’s living and death is substantially the separation and reunion of gas,having already necessarily living to had dead,so people should treat a matter of life and death with a quiet attitude,and making up the theories missing in the life ultimate concern of the traditional Confucian,and gave a powerful criticism to the transmigration of life and death theory of Buddhism and the ageless theory of Taoism.
