| 摘要 | 馬來西亞第二大都市新山昔時有“小汕頭”之稱市內有間百餘年曆史的柔佛古廟。柔佛古廟游神活動不僅是新山華人社會每年一度的盛事在社區整合與強化社區秩序的功能上有其本土的特殊演化。柔佛古廟游神並不只是限於潮幫人士的參與而是強調“五幫共慶”。柔佛古廟游神脫胎於潮州根植於馬來西亞新山是跨幫群、超方言群社會整合的本土化游神民俗活動。游神的傳統延續及其當代復興實際上經過了一個動態的演化其間也反映了海外華人社會內部秩序整合的歷程華團與幫群間制度化的建構以及知識精英的打造有其特殊的歷史背景和文化情境。
This is a case study on the annual Deities Parade of Johor Ancient Chinese Temple which aims at examining the development of this folk custom and its inherent relation to the social integration of Chinese community.The continuity and recent revival of this activity are actually a dynamic process which has taken place within a special historical background and cultural context.This process has reflected the course of the adjustment of Chinese community’s internal order,the results of Chinese associations’ institutional construction,and the efforts of intellectual elite to create cultural symbols. |
