| 摘要 | 본 연구는 법주사의 역사적 변화와 입지환경에 대해 풍수적 관점에서 논하고자 한다. 특히 법주사의 중심 건축물인 능인전과 진신사리를 봉안한 세존사리탑을 중심으로 법주사에 반영된 풍수적 특징을 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 한다. 미륵신앙의 중심사찰인 법주사의 공간구성과 가람배치의 특징적인 모습은 대웅보전과 팔상전이 중심축을 형성하고 있으나, 이는 실질적인 중심역할이 아닌 상징적인 의미와 역할에 머물러 있다. 법주사의 실질적인 중심은 세존사리탑을 비롯한 용화보전에 있었는데, 여기에는 교리와 풍수적 특징 그리고 부처님의 사리가 갖는 존엄성을 절묘한 조화속에 실현한 것이다. 따라서 법주사의 입지선정과 공간구성의 배경에는 풍수가 중요한 의미로 활용되었고, 불교적 성격을 실현하는 가장 중요한 역할과 의미로 작용하였다. In this study, historical change and location environment of Beopjusa Temple is estimated from the view of Feng shui. Especially, the main buildings of Beopjusa Temple, Neung-in-jeon and Stupa Sejon in that small crystals of Buddha is sealed are focused. And the purpose of this paper is to clarify the features of Feng shui reflected in the buildings. The Buddhism and Feng shui introduced in the Korean Peninsula raised a distinctive culture, one of which is to mark with a side dot with locality. Especially, the features of spacial composition and temple arrangement in Beopjusa Temple as a center of the Maitreya ideology compose the central axis with the Daeungbojeon Hall and Palsangjeon Hall. However, this axis is not a substantive one but contains symbolical meaning and role. Actual center of Beopjusa Temple is on the Yongwhabojeon Hall including the Stupa of Sejon, which is to exquisitely realize the harmony among Buddhism doctrine, feature of Feng shui and dignity from the small crystals of Buddha. Thus, in the background of location selection and spacial composition of Beopjusa Temple, Feng shui was significantly used as a semantic tool and to most important role to establish Buddhism character. |
