| 摘要 | 본고는 소위 地論宗을 대표하는 학승, 淨影寺 慧遠(523-592)의 주요 저작 중 하나인 『大般涅槃經義記』의 현행 텍스트가 어떠한 과정을 거쳐 성립되었 는가를 탐구하는 시론이며, 특히 돈황사본 『涅槃義疏』第七卷(Pelliot chinois 2164)와 현행본 『大般涅槃經義記』 텍스트의 비교를 통해서 『涅槃義疏』第七 卷(P2164)에 보이는 수정의 흔적이 慧遠의 텍스트 찬술과정을 반영하고 있다 는 것을 논증함을 목적으로 한다. 본고의 고찰결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 慧遠 『大般涅槃經義記』에는 慧遠이 강의 전에 작성한 초고본과 강의 중 혹은 강의 후에 작성한 (복수의) 개정 원고가 존재하였다. 2. 돈황사본 『涅槃義疏』第七卷(P2164)은 서사자 Ａ가 서사한 최초의 텍스 트와 서사자 Ｂ가 이것을 개정한 수정 후의 텍스트라는 두 가지로 이루 어져 있다. 3. 현행본 텍스트와 기본적으로 일치하는 것은 수정 후의 텍스트 쪽이지 만, 본문 중에 언급된 “別章”으로의 지시 상황으로 볼 때 『涅槃義疏』第 七卷(P2164)의 수정 후 텍스트도 현행본보다 약간 전의 단계에 위치한 것으로 생각된다. 4. 그러므로 『涅槃義疏』第七卷(P2164)에 보이는 수많은 수정의 흔적은 慧 遠이 『大般涅槃經義記』의 최종본을 완성하기까지의 개정작업의 과정 이 반영된 것이라고 생각된다. 본고는 소위 地論宗을 대표하는 학승, 淨影寺 慧遠(523-592)의 주요 저작 중 하나인 『大般涅槃經義記』의 현행 텍스트가 어떠한 과정을 거쳐 성립되었는가를 탐구하는 시론이며, 특히 돈황사본 『涅槃義疏』第七卷(Pelliot chinois 2164)와 현행본 『大般涅槃經義記』 텍스트의 비교를 통해서 『涅槃義疏』第七 卷(P2164)에 보이는 수정의 흔적이 慧遠의 텍스트 찬술과정을 반영하고 있다는 것을 논증함을 목적으로 한다. 본고의 고찰결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 慧遠 『大般涅槃經義記』에는 慧遠이 강의 전에 작성한 초고본과 강의 중 혹은 강의 후에 작성한 (복수의) 개정 원고가 존재하였다. 2. 돈황사본 『涅槃義疏 』第七卷(P2164)은 서사자 Ａ가 서사한 최초의 텍스트와 서사자 Ｂ가 이것을 개정한 수정 후의 텍스트라는 두 가지로 이루 어져 있다. 3. 현행본 텍스트와 기본적으로 일치하는 것은 수정 후의 텍스트 쪽이지 만, 본문 중에 언급된 “別章”으로의 지시 상황으로 볼 때 『涅槃義疏』第 七卷(P2164)의 수정 후 텍스트도 현행본보다 약간 전의 단계에 위치한 것으로 생각된다. 4. 그러므로 『涅槃義疏』第七卷(P2164)에 보이는 수많은 수정의 흔적은 慧 遠이 『大般涅槃經義記』의 최종본을 완성하기까지의 개정작업의 과정 이 반영된 것이라고 생각된다. The aim of the present study is to sketch the progression of the writing of the Da banniepan jing yiji 大般涅槃經義記 (the Commentary on the Mahayana Mahaparinirvanasutra [MPS]) by Jingying Huiyuan 淨影慧遠 (523-592), one of the most representative scholars of the so-called Dilun 地論 School. For that reason, I try to compare the text of the present edition of fascicle 7 of the Da banniepan jing yiji with that of the Dunhuang manuscript, Pelliot chinois 2164, fascicle 7 of the Niepan yi shu 涅槃義疏 (the Commentary on the MPS), and make clear that the large number of revisions seen in the latter reflect the progression of Huiyuan`s writing. The findings of this study are as follows: 1. Huiyuan wrote the draft of the Da banniepan jing yiji before he began lecturing, and he wrote at least one revised edition while he was giving his lectures or subsequently. 2. The text of the Dunhuang manuscript, Niepan yi shu, consists of two parts: the original text copied by writer A and the revised text copied by writer B. 3. The revised text of the Niepan yi shu is basically the same as the text of the current edition of the Da banniepan jing yiji. But, in comparing the references to “Biezhang 別章” found in the two, we find that the former is also a slightly earlier version than the latter. 4. I thus conclude that Huiyuan continuously revised his text until the completion of the current edition of the Da banniepan jing yiji, and the large number of revisions seen in the Niepan yi shu reflect the progression of his work |
