| 摘要 | 본 연구의 목적은 불교적 시선으로 칼 로저스의 인간중심상담에서 ‘진정한 사람되기’를 살펴보는데 있다. 이를 위해 먼저 인본주의 심리학자이자 인간중심상담의 주창자인 로저스의 “상담의 중심은 사람”에 기반한 상담원리와 상담자의 태도를 알아보았다. 다음으로 로저스의 저서『진정한 사람되기』에 함의된 상담접근법을 통해 불교적 사유를 도출하였다. 더 나아가 로저스가 강조하는 진정한 자기 자신이 되는 것과 내담자를 대하는 태도에 관해 불교적 관점에서 다음과 같이 밝혔다. 첫째, 상담자가 진정한 자기 자신이 되기 위해서는 연기와 사성제를 바르게 자각하고 지금-여기-자기의 온전한 경험을 지속할 때 가능하다. 둘째, 상담자와 내담자가 서로를 통해 함께 성장한다는 신념에서 출발하며, 상담자는 사무량심(四無量心)과 사섭법(四攝法)의 태도로써 내담자를 있는 그대로 수용하는 것이다. 본 연구의 의의는 시대와 공간을 초월한 붓다의 가르침이 과거·현재·미래 사회를 통섭(統攝)하여 상담자의 인간적 자질에 대한 적용가능성을 확인할 수 있었다. This study was attempted to examine ‘On Becoming a Person’ from a Buddhist perspective in Carl Rogers’ Person-Centered Counseling. To do this, I first looked at the principle of counseling and the attitudes of counselors to the humanistic psychologist Rogers, who advocated Person-Centered Counseling. I examined the Buddhist thought implicit in Rogers’ book “On Becoming a Person.” Furthermore, I examined on the treating the client and being a true self of Rogers from the perspective of Buddhism. First, the counselor attaches importance to the now-here-self experience of correctly perceiving and practicing the dependent arising and the Four Noble Truths in order to become true self. Second, from the belief that counselors and client grow together through each other, takes the attitudes of the Four lmmeasurables and the Four All-embracing and sees the client as it is. The significance of this study was to confirm the applicability of the human qualities of the counselors who oversees the past, present and future society through the teaching of Buddha across time and space. |
