| 摘要 | 강화경판 『고려대장경』(이하 『고려대장경』이라 줄여 부름) 각성사업(刻成事業)은 몽고와 전쟁 중일 때 진행되었다. 각성사업에 중요한 역할을 한 것으로 알려진 정안(鄭晏)의 남해 활동에 대해 논의가 부족하였다. 그가 남해에서 활동한 고종 30년부터 38년까지는 각성사업 및 분사대장도감(이하 분사도감으로 줄여 부름)의 운영과 맞물려 있어 주목된다. 정안은 각성사업과 별도로 불교전적 4종을 간행하였다. 분사도감에서 경판을 판각한 첫 해가 고종 30년이라는 점을 고려한다면, 각성사업과 정안의 불전 간행은 밀접하게 연관 되었음을 의미한다. 고종 30년부터 대장도감과 분사도감에서 판각한 경판수량이 급증하였다. 고종 38년 최항에 의해 지문하성으로 발탁되어 정계(政界)로 복귀하는데, 사업이 마무리된 해이기도 하다. 이를 고려해 볼 때 정안의 정계 복귀와 각성사업 운영은 무관하지 않다. 고려대장경판이 대장도감과 분사도감에서 동시에 판각될 때, 정안은 남해(南海)에 머물고 있었다. 정안은 대장도감이 있었던 강화경(江華京)과 원거리에 위치한 진주 및 남해의 분사도감이 연결될 수 있도록 모종의 임무를 맡았을 것이다. 정안의 남해 활동과 정계 복귀는 분사남해대장도감(分司南海大藏都監)의 운영과 긴밀하게 연관되어 있었다. 그는 각성사업이 잘 마무리 될 수 있도록 하동과 남해를 중심으로 사업의 당위성에 대한 여론 형성을 비롯하여 사업 참여를 독려하는 한편 각종 물자의 조달을 주도하였다. Tripitaka Koreana was engraved when he was at war with Mongolia. There was a lack of discussion on Jeongan's(鄭晏) activities on the Namhae Island(南海), which were known to play a key role in the Tripitaka Koreana project. His activities in the Namhae Island are closely related to the Tripitaka Koreana Project. From 30years of King Gojong(高宗) to 38years of King Gojong, the Namhae Island activities of Jeongan's overlap with the Tripitaka Koreana Project. After the project was completed, he was selected as a senior official and returned to politics. It was the first year of woodblock engraving at Bunsadaejangdogam(分司大藏都監) in 30years of King Gojong. Since then, engraving has increased dramatically in the Daejangdogam(大藏都監) and Bunsadaejangdogam. This change suggests that he has nothing to do with leaving the central political arena. It is inferred that Jeongan's led the procurement of various materials in Hadong(河東) and Namhae Island so that the Tripitaka Koreana project could be completed well. He also played a key role in linking the Daejangdogam and Bunsadaejangdogam. |
