| 摘要 | 본 연구는 만해수행길 조성의 의미와 필요성을 밝히고, 이를 바탕으로 만해수행길의 구축 방향을 제안하는 데 목적이 있다. 만해 한용운은 선승으로서 평생을 민족 독립을 위해 헌신한 독립운동가이자 기념비적인 시집 『님의 침묵』을 쓴 시인이다. 만해의 사상은 실로 방대하여 하나로 규정하기 어렵지만, 그가 남긴 문화유산을 통해 짐작할 수 있는 것은 그가 불교에 기반을 둔 자유와 평등 추구로 세계평화를 꿈꾸었다는 점이다. 이에 본고에서는 강원도 지역(고성군, 인제군, 속초시, 양양군 등)의 사찰을 중심으로 천연자원과 문화자원을 연계한 만해수행길 조성의 의미와 필요성을 밝혔다. 아울러 만해수행길 조성의 방향으로 첫째, 강원도지역의 만해불교문화유산의 벨트 조성, 둘째, 만해마을의 만해자유평화박물관 라키비움 구축, 셋째, 만해수행길트레킹 코스 및 캠핑 야영장 개발을 제안하였다. 본 연구는 만해수행길 조성을 통해 한국의 유구한 전통 불교문화와 만해의 자유평화사상을 전 세계에 널리 알릴 수 있는 불교 순례의 실제적인 방향을 제시하였다는 점에서 의의를 지닌다. The purpose of this study is to clarify the meaning and necessity of creating Manhae pilgrimage route and to propose the direction of construction of Manhae Pilgrimage route based on this. Manhae Han Yong-woon is an independence activist who devoted his entire life to national independence as a monk and a poet who wrote a monumental collection of poems, 『Silence』. The idea of Manhae is vast and difficult to define as one. However, what can be guessed from his cultural heritage is that he dreamed of world peace through the pursuit of freedom and equality based on Buddhism. This study revealed the meaning and necessity of creating a Manhae pilgrimage route by linking natural and cultural resources, centering on temples in Gangwon-do. In addition, the direction of the creation of the Manhae pilgrimage route was presented. First, it is to create a belt for Buddhist cultural heritage of Manhae in Gangwon-do. Second, it is the construction of the Larchiveum of the Manhae Free Peace Museum in Manhae Village. Third, it is to develop a trekking course and camping campsite on Manhae pilgrimage route. This study is significant in that it presented the direction of Buddhist pilgrimage that could spread Korea’s long-standing traditional Buddhist culture and the idea of Manhae’s free peace to the world through the creation of Manhae pilgrimage route. |
