| 摘要 | This study entitled Buddhist Attitude towards Health and Physical Fitness is carried out to identify Buddhist attitude towards health and physical fitness. The survey is carried out in six Monasteries and viharas of Kathmandu Valley. Buddhism strongly believes that human characteristics like greed, anger and ignorance are the three serious psychological diseases. Buddha also presented on his teaching to avoid all evil, killing and harming living beings, to cultivate good and to cleanse one's mind. It is very important for achievinghealth related physical fitness. Through meditation and walking meditation, the body achieves a greater state of balance, physical conditions, fighting against diseases and breathing is regulated. Our mind becomes focused, clear and organized. Unnecessary desires and improper thoughts are eliminated. Therefore, the researcher has concluded that Buddhist rules and code of conduct are the best ways for achieving good physical, mental and spiritual health. |
