| 摘要 | Tibetan term Terma (treasure teaching), refers to the teachings which have been unearthed from various locations where they had been concealed mostly by Padmasambhava and his disciples in Tibet from eighth century to early ninth century. Within Tibetan Buddhist schools, most of the Terma teachings can be found in Nyingma school of Tibetan Buddhism. And there is a general understanding in the Tibetan society that any subject related to Terma teachings refer to Terma teachings of Nyingma school. Before I touch the main subject, I would like to present a background of this terma teaching, which is a living tradition in Nyingma tradition. The Terma teachings are not uniquely Tibetan creation which do not have support or references from the main stream teachings of the Buddhha. In fact, in various sutras and tantra texts, the Buddha presented the Terma teachings and their values and practices. Therefore, Tibetan Terma teachings, in general and in particular, the Terma teachings of Nyingmapa’s are the the creation of some queer philosophers who lack authenticities. |
