| 摘要 | Buddhism says everything is impermanent. The nature of existence is constant flux or change. The means or tools to spread Buddhism also change in the course of time. There is a term ''skillful means'' in Buddhism, which denotes that a teacher should be able to understand the background or capacity of the people who are listening Dharma and devise his or her means of preaching to inspire them. In Dharma practice, the important thing is to eliminate suffering. For that goal, using any devise is acceptable in Buddhism. A boat is essential for crossing the river, but once a person reaches the other shore of the river, the boat is no longer needed. In China, a practice is prevalent to associate Buddhism with tea culture. They say, Buddhism and tea tastes the same. This research article attempts to explore to what extent Buddhism and tea can be associated and to what purpose. |
