| 摘要 | Along with the advancement in science and technology, the geographical territories of the world have been narrowed, but at the same time the bond of human relationship are falling apart. Children have now forgotten their fi lial duty. Friends have no faith in friends. The value of sacred relation between husband and wife is eroding. People are in the blind race after a mirage of material satisfaction. In such human degeneration, the virtues expounded by Confucianism can help reconnect the defused wire of human relations. The values which were applicable two and half a millennia before are equally relevant today in the age of science, technology and commercial capitalism. The Confucian ideals can be used as the guiding beacon for the human being to fi nd the path of goodness and spiritual existence. The world has not gone beyond correction and still there are good hopes deep down in human antiquity. |
