| 摘要 | Once, the Buddha (the Enlightened one) was dwelling in Kuru (nearby Delhi, India) some 2600 years ago. He summoned the monks and declared that “there is one and only way” for i) the purification of beings, ii) the overcoming of sorrow iii) the overcoming of lamentation, iv) the extinguishing of suffering v) the extinguishing of grief vi) walking on the path of truth vii) the realization of nibbana (the true liberation):That is to say the fourfold establishing of awareness or mindfulness, ‘cattaro satipatthaanaa’. The above mentioned seven fruitions can be regarded as an advertisement, a real and factual advertisement, a Dhamma declaration made by the Exalted one. That fourfold mindfulness are: a. observing body in body (kaaye kaayaanupassi viharati), b. observing sensations in sensations (vedanaasu vedanaanupassi viharati), c. observing mind in mind (citte cittaanupassi viharati) and d. observing mental contents in mental contents (dhammesu dhammaanupassi viharati). |
