| 摘要 | 2019至2021年甘肅武威唐代吐谷渾王族墓葬群新發掘的4座墓葬，墓道內皆有殉牲，以殉馬為主，也有燒物及燒殉現象。此類殉牲習俗應與吐谷渾民族自身的生產模式以及鮮卑族的古老喪葬觀念有關，其內涵是想借助殉牲和燒物的形式，護送亡者靈魂魂歸故里。在舉行殉牲活動的過程中，還有以刀剺面、血淚歌哭等喪葬儀式。至于吐谷渾墓葬中整馬殉葬的形式，應在較大程度上受到吐蕃喪葬習俗的影響。 Four Tuyuhun tombs dating from the Tang dynasty excavated between 2019 and 2021 in Wuwei contain the remains of burnt objects, burnt martyrs, and sacrificial animals, most of which are whole horses. The custom of sacrificing animals in these tombs is related to the living patterns and occupational customs of the Tuyuhun people, and to the ancient funeral practices of Xianbei culture, though the sacrificing of whole horses was likely due to the influence of Tibetan funeral customs. Sacrificial animals and burnt objects were meant to escort the souls of the dead back to their final spiritual homes. In the process of these sacrificial rituals, grand ceremonies would be held during which the mourners stabbed their faces with knives, sang dirges for the dead, and wept. |
