| 摘要 | The concept of “New Paradigm” is one of the new currents of thought in contemporary world. This is a concept of integration which stipulates that all things are interconnected and nothing can be left out. This concept could help alleviate today’s complex problems and be conducive to creating a more peaceful collective existence. This article argues that in Buddhism there is this concept of integration which has been articulated in the Theory of Dependent Origination as explained by the Lord Buddha some 2,600 years ago. This article develops a “Buddhist Integral Theory” which aims to relate the Buddhist doctrines and Ken Wilber’s Integral Theory. This theory can be applied for an integrated development of the mental, social and environmental dimensions of Thai society and could eventually bring about peace and happiness for all. |
