The earliest flying phoenix records in Taiwan could trace back to《鳳山縣志》- the 58th year of Kang Xi (康熙五十八年), when the religionization of that record was still not mature enough. There were some preliminary religion rituals developed in I-Lan 新民堂 and many Sub-Phoenix Hall had derived from here. So far, the argument about which book is the first Phoenix Book in Taiwan has no consistency in academic statements. The first acknowledged one should be《覺悟選新》in Penghu 樂善堂, which was the most significant ever record make of most researchers. This paper aims at identifying the first Phoenix Book in Taiwan through textual analysis of Phoenix Books of《警世盤銘》in I-Lan 新民堂,《化蘭全書》in I-Lan 鑑民堂,《善錄金篇》in I-Lan 醒世堂, and《覺悟選新》in Penghu 樂善堂. The issues discussed in this paper include the date the Phoenix Hall established, the time the Phoenix Book published, and the ranking data chronologically by 《醒世全書》in 行忠堂. With the timeline observing, this paper respectively arranges the writing and finishing time of each Phoenix Book. By comparing the relationship among 《警世盤銘》,《化蘭全書》,《善錄金篇》,and《覺悟選新》, this paper clarifies the misconception toward the misunderstanding of the first Phoenix Book in Taiwan.
