Du Fu’s poems have strongly important function and energy on historical literature. This article talks about the value of “Negative Heritage” in historical research topics. We discuss negative cultural heritage value of Du Fu’s poems by his special psychological traumatic memory. At the age of Tang Dai Zong, Du Fu’s poems concern with the wrong court policy, local famine and the frontier chaos. Different from the ten talents of Da Li in history of literature, Liu Chang-Qing, Wei Ying-Wu and other famous poets whose poems describe scenery and artistic pursuit. This article starts with the historical background of Tang Dai Zong and discusses the text of Du Fu’s poems. His poems are different from the mainstream poetry at the age that was temporary peaceful and happy after the troubled times. He still took responsibility of criticizing politics and portraying local disaster. For this reason, the meaning of negative literary heritage from Du Fu’s poems in the history is better than the mainstream poetry of that time.
