Satu Suro is a new year for Javanese. It is commemorated with various rituals which contain meaningful symbols. This research aims to describe and analyze meanings and values of nonverbal symbols in Satu Suro Ritual of Grobogan Buddhist. This is a qualitative research with semiotic-pragmatics approach. Data collection techniques use Documentation, observation, and interview. Analysis technique refers to the pragmatic semiotics theory of Charles Sanders Peirce. The results of this research show that the nonverbal symbols in Satu sura ritual consist two groups, objects and habits. The object group has Buddha statue, candles, water, flowers, incenses, fruits, and tumpeng. Then the Habit group consists two habits that conducted by the Buddhists in Prigi Village to welcome the Javanese New Year, Nyekar and Poso Mutih. The meanings contain in the symbols of Satu Suro ritual are divided into 3 groups : meaning in the religious context, ethic context, and philosophical context. The Buddhism values found in this research are ancestors respecting, adhitthana, dana, anicca, dan kamma.
