| 摘要 | 本文由簡要介紹高僧法顯的《佛國記》原文入手,點明這部紀實性巨著的多重價值,然后概括提到并比較了目前它的各種注譯本,以此引出了西方學術界提到和使用最多的理雅各譯本,接著援引具體例子,從值得關注的長篇序言、忠實嚴謹的正文翻譯和詳盡深入的評論注釋三個方面分析了理雅各譯本的鮮明特點,同時探討了譯本存在的兩個問題,最后總結理雅各譯本的貢獻。 This article first introduces the eminent Chinese monk Fa-Hien's original account of A Record of Buddhistic Kingdoms, points out the multiple values of this documentary account, and compares various editions of its translation at present. The passage then provides its translation by James Legge which is the most frequently cited and used in the western academic circles and takes specific examples to analyze the characteristics of James Legge’s edition which are noticeable long preface, faithful rigorous translation and exhaustive thorough notes. Finally, the author proposes two questions of the translation and summarizes contributions of James Legge′s translation. |
