| 摘要 | 이 논문은 한국불교 승려인 의상과 서양의 과정 철학자 화이트헤드 사상의 비교연구이다. 특히 이 논문은 의상의 화엄철학과 화이트헤드의 유기체 철학을 비교 연구한 것이다. 이 논문은 의상과 화이트헤드의 존재론적 개념인 법과 현실적 존재, 관계론적 개념인 연기와 과정, 종교론적 개념인 불과 신과의 유사점과 차이점을 검토하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이 두 사유체계는 실체적 사고를 비판한다는 면에서 유사하지만, 존재론상에서는 차이점이 존재한다. 즉 전자는 현실적 존재와 현실 세계는 환영이라 생각하지만, 후자는 그것을 실재라고 생각한다는 점에서 다르다. 또한 종교론적 개념인 의상의 불과 화이트헤드의 신은 둘 다 현실적 존재라는 점에서 유사하고 아울러 ‘관계성의 구체적 사실’이라는 점에서도 유사하다. This Paper compares the korean buddhist Ǚisang with the western philospher Whitehead. Especially, this paper compares the hwayen(華嚴) philosophy of Ǚisang and the organic philosophy of Whitehead. This paper aims to examine the similarity and difference between the ontological concept’s dharma(法) of Ǚisang and actual entity of Whitehead, the relational concept’s yongi(緣起) of Ǚisang and process of Whitehead, the religious concept’s Buddha(佛) of Ǚisang and God of Whitehead. These two speculative systems are similar in that they together try to criticize the substantial thought. Meanwhile these two speculative systems are different from each other in their ontology. The former thinks that actual entity and actual world is maya(幻), on the contrary, the latter thinks that actual entity and actual world is reality. The religious concept’s Buddha(佛) of Ǚisang and God of Whitehead are are similar in that they together are actual entity and they both are considered as ‘the concrete fact of relatedness’ |
