| 摘要 | 近代中國社會正處于內外交攻的艱難境地,西方世界全面入侵,儒家制度化蕩然無存,舊的社會秩序已被破壞,新的秩序尚未建立。以章太炎等人為代表的中國知識分子在危機面前試圖用佛教來挽救日益沉淪的中華民族,他們以現實需求為旨歸,不僅試圖用佛教的核心理念來拯救世道人心,亦通過利用佛教思想、思辨性來整合、建構可與西方文化對抗的形而上學。這一行動促成了一股思想潮流,推動了佛教復興的發展進程。通過對章太炎接受佛教之緣起及過程的探究,充分彰顯宏觀時代背景下有識之士以佛教救世意識的萌發和各種表現,為當前中國社會的道德建設、文化建設提供一定借鑒。 Modern China was faced with external and internal difficulties—— the invasion of western powers,the collapse of Confucian system,the destruction of old social order and the immature new order. The Chinese intellectuals represented by ZHANG Taiyan tried to save the degenerate Chinese nation with Buddhism. With the aim of meeting the needs of reality,they not only tried to apply the main Buddhist concepts to saving social ethos but also utilized Buddhist ideas and reasoning to consolidate and construct the metaphysics which should be used to resist western culture. Their work facilitated a current of ideas and promoted the development of the revival of Buddhism.By probing the whys and the wherefores of ZHANG Taiyan accepting Buddhism,this article amply presents the germination and demonstration of the consciousness of saving the world with Buddhism of the far-sighted personages under that certain time background in order to provide the experience for the moral and cultural construction of the present China. |
