The images of monk and priest are different,while the images represented as scabby monk and lame priest in Dream of Red Mansions sometimes are overlapping,which can be described as "either monk or priest"and "both monk and priest". After study of four famous classics Dream of Red Mansions,Journey to the West,Water Margin and The Romance of the three Kingdoms,this phenomenon is found rather common in them. This is achieved because of combination of theory of Buddhism and Taoism,embracement of different social ideological trends and wide selection of literary creation.
