| 摘要 | 본 논문은 유식학의 관점에서 현대 문명의 꽃인 가상공간을 분석한 것이다. 지금까지의 연구는 화엄학의 입장에서 가상공간을 존재론적으로 규명한 것이 대부분이었다. 하지만 가상공간은 인식적인 측면을 떠나서는 존재할 수 없다. 따라서 필자는 가상공간이 인식의 대상이자 인식작용의 결과가 축적된 공간이라는 측면에 주목했다. 그리고 가상공간은 ‘식’의 분화에 의해 형성되었다는 점을 부각시켜 이곳을 ‘식’이 확장된 형태로 보아야 한다는 의견을 피력했다. 이를 토대로 개인적인 인식대상일 뿐만 아니라 타인과 의사를 소통하는 곳이 된 가상공간은 ‘공종자’의 발현으로 형성된다고 해석했다. 그리고 가상공간은 욕망의 세계 곧 ‘변계소집성’이며, 욕망으로 인해 갈등과 사회폭력이 생겨나는 곳임을 상기시켰다. 결론적으로 이것을 극복할 수 있는 방법은 현상을 제대로 보는 데 있다고 보고, 이것은 4심사에 의해 가능함을 규명했다. I analyzed the virtual space, the flower of modern civilization, in view of Yogācāra buddhism in this paper. The researches on the virtual space in Buddhist studies were mostly made to argue its ontological feature in the sight of Huayan Studies. But The virtual space has no existence apart from the cognitive aspect. So I tried to discuss in terms that it is the cognitive object and the storage space of the result of cognition. And I claimed that it is the extended space of vijñāna on the basis of the division of vijñāna. After that I argued that it is not only the personal cognitive object but also the communication space formed by the manifestation of ‘common seed.’ And I showed that it is the imagined or contrived points of view and the origin of social conflict and violence caused by the desire. In conclusion I illuminated that the way to overcome them is to see exactly the phenomenon with four analytical inquiries and insights. |
