| 摘要 | Prior studies have already taken note of the fact that Daigobon Hōnen Shōnin denki (hereinafter Daigobon) was copied by early adherents of the Takada school. However, there had not been thorough discussion of the content of the manuscript. Therefore, the present study has focused on and conducted detailed analysis regarding the content of Daigobon copied by adherents of the Takada school, and has made the following findings. Manuscript fragments of Takada adherents can be broadly classified into three types: “precepts”, “the coming of Amida Buddha to the Pure Land”, and “rebirth of both good people and evil people in the Pure Land”. The manuscript of the sermon “rebirth of both good people and evil people in the Pure Land” believed to have been made by Hōnen states that “evil people are to be emulated but even good people can be saved.” This may sound similar to the akunin shōki-setsu described in Yuien’s Tanninshō. However, they are not necessarily the same. Still, Kenchi and others probably advocated ōjō of both good people and evil people even though this belief may not have been exactly the same as the akunin shōki-setsu. |
