| 摘要 | 특정 분야의 범용한 지식인을 양산하는 근대 이행기를 살아야 했던 한용운의 위대함은 시인, 선사, 정치가의 일체화를 이룬 데 있다. 이는 근대를 체험한 보통사람의 위대함이다. 선사이면서 시인, 정치가의 삶을 치열하게 살아냈던 선학원 시절의 산물인 한용운의 님의 침묵은 ‘희박한 언표’로서 당대의 담론, 언표들과 넓고도 깊은 상호작용을 수행했다. 이것을 문학의 자율성에 가둘 수도 없고, ‘일본 - 중국 - 조선’의 일직선적인 ‘사상연쇄’로 제한할 수도 없다. 또한 이것은 전통으로의 회귀를 꾀하고 있지도 않다. 한용운은 량치차오를 통해 칸트를 접하지만, 량치차오와 칸트의 한계를 상즉상리(相卽相離)의 원리로 넘어서며 이를 현실 속에서 구현하기 위해 선사로서당대의 중생에게 ‘선외선’ 사상을 제시한다. 희박한 언표인 님의 침묵이 ‘선외선’ 사상과 당대의 자유연애 담론의 상호작용의 양태의 각도에서 읽힐 때 그것은 지금, 여기의 한국적 근대문명을 사유할수 있도록 곁을 내어 줄 것이다. The greatness of Han Yong - un, who lived in the modern transition period to mass - produce general - purpose intellectuals in specific fields, lies in the unification of poets, prehistory, and politicians. This is the greatness of ordinary people who have experienced modernity. Han Yong - woon's Silence of Nim(님의 침묵)』was a ‘rarity of the utterances’, which performed a wide and profound interaction with the discourses and expressions of the times in which Han Yong - un lived. It cannot be confined to the autonomy of literature, nor can it be limited to a straight “ideal chain” of “Japan - China - Chosun”. Also, it is not seeking a return to tradition. Although Han Yong - un encounters Kant through Lianm Qi - chao, he overcomes the limitations of Lianm Qi - chao and Kant with the principle of Sangjeoksang - ri (相卽相離), and presents the idea of “zen outside zen(선외선)” to the rebirth of the time as a ship in order to realize this in reality. When 『Silence of Nim(님의 침묵), which is a ‘rarity of the utterances’, is read from the angle of interaction between the ‘zen outside zen’ idea and the discourse of free love of the time, it will provide a side to contemplate the Korean modern civilization here and now. |
