| 摘要 | 만해 한용운의 불교사상과 개혁론은 한국 근대불교사를 이해하는 근간이다. 만해의 불교저술에 대한 연구는 초기 서지적 연구에서 벗어나 동시대 서구와 일본에서 간행한 불교성전류를 비교하였다. "십현담주해" 역시 원저자와 김시습, 그리고 만해의 인식을 각각 분석하여 차별성을 규명하기도 하였다. 이와 같은비교분석은 동시대 국내외 사상가들과 만해 개혁론이 지닌 특성과 가치를 규명하는 경향으로 이어졌다. 연구태도 역시 한용운의 사상만을 강조했던 이전의 연구경향에서 확실히 진전된 것이다. 만해의 불교개혁론과 결부된 사상은 평등주의와 구세주의가 저변에 깔려 있다는 입장이다. 만해의 평등과 구세는 그의 민족·평화·정치·사회참여 사상의 근간이 되기도 한다. 만해의 사상은 서양철학에 영향을 받은 것이 사실이다. 그러나 불교가 더욱 심오하고 우월하다는 인식을가지고 있었다는 평가다. 만해의 불교사상과 개혁론 연구는 시와 문학연구와 비교했을 때 수적으로 부진하지만, 만해학과 한국근대불교사 연구를 객관적으로이해하는데 기여할 것이다. Manhae Han Yong - un's ideas of Buddhism and reform are fundamental to understanding the history of modern Korean Buddhism. The study of the works of Buddhism in Manhae was a comparison of the Buddhist holy books published in the West and Japan at the same time, away from earlier surge studies. Annotation to The Ten Profound Verses(十玄談註解) also analyzed the perceptions of the original winner, Kim Si - seup, and Manhae to identify the differences. Such a comparative analysis led to the tendency to identify the characteristics and values of contemporary thinkers and reform in Korea and abroad. The attitude of research is also a clear improvement from previous research trends that emphasized only Han's ideas. The idea associated with Manhae's reform of Buddhism is based on equality and conservatism. Manhae's equality and save the world are also the foundation of his ideas of the nation, peace, politics and Social participation. It is true that Manhae's ideas were influenced by Western philosophy. However, it is said that Buddhism was perceived as more profound and superior. Manhae's study of Buddhist thought and reform will help objectively understand the study of the history of Buddhism and modern Korean Buddhism, although it is numerically poor compared to poetry and literature. |
