| 摘要 | 범패는 전통불교음악으로 영산재와 같은 불교의식에 사용되는 음악이다. 개인의 안녕과 국가의 번영을 기원하는 불교의식에서 범패는 석가모니를 찬탄하고, 중생들의 환희심을 불러일으키는 중요한 역할을 하고 있다. 한편 범패와 함께 불교의 여러 의식에 사용되는 작법무(作法舞)는 의식을 보다 풍요롭게 해준다. 그 가운데 나비춤은 14가지의 요소를 지니고 있는데, 불교사상과 신앙을 구체적으로 표출하고 있다. 특징은 큰 동작이 거의 없고, 어깨나 고개도 거의 움직이지 않는다는 점이다. 본 논문은 불교의 대표적인 네 가지 작법무 가운데 나비춤의 종류와 동작을 분석하여 그 특징을 극대화시켰다. 현재 범패를 비롯한 의식무용은 그 문화적 가치를 인정받아 2009년 유네스코 세계무형유산으로 등재되었다. 그러나 체계화와 보급은 과제로 남아있어 원형보존과 온전한 복원이 요구되는 실정이다. 이 논문은 범패와 함께 작법무의 발전을 위한 체계적 정리의 일환으로 기술되었다. Beom-pae is a traditional Buddhist music and used for Buddhist ceremonies like Yeongsanjae. In a Buddhist ceremony to pray individuals' peace and well-being and the nation's prosperity, Beom-pae plays an important role of respecting and praising Buddha and arousing delight of sentient beings. Meanwhile, Jakbeopmu, which is used for diverse Buddhist ceremonies together with Beom-pae, enriches the ceremonies. In particular, butterfly dance in Jakbeopmu has 14 elements and specifically expresses Buddhist ideology and faith. Its characteristics are that it has few big motions and the dancers hardly move their shoulders or head. This paper analyzed the kinds and motions of butterfly dances in four types of Jakbeopmu and maximized their characteristics. As of the present time, cultural values of ceremony dances including Beom-pae have been recognized by United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (namely, UNESCO) and they were listed as world intangible heritages in 2009. However, systematizing and disseminating them remains a task and preservation of their original forms and perfect restoration of them are required. This paper was written as part of putting Jakbeopmu into systematic order for the development of Jakbeopmu together with Beom-pae. |
