| 摘要 | 경봉 정석 (鏡峰 靖錫, 1892~1982) 은 한국 근대불교의 대표적인 인물이다. 경봉사상의 원류는 화엄산림 (華嚴山林) 과 간화선이다. 화엄산림은 그의 수행과 포교, 그리고 깨달음과 직접적인 관련성을 지니고 있다. 『화엄경』의 성기 (性起) 와 법계연기 (法界緣起) 는 불성을 그대로 드러내어 경봉으로 하여금 깨달음의 근원을 제공해주었다. 화엄산림은 불교도들에게 자신이 부처임을 일깨워주는 계기가 되었다. ‘이 뭣고’와 ‘무자화두’와 같은 화두참구는 화엄사상을 실제로 확인하는 계기가 되었다. 그는 화두참구를 통해 깨달음의 실상을 확인하였다. 경봉은 화엄산림과 간화선을 통해 수행의 완성이후 세상으로 나왔다. 그가 살았던 일제강점기와 해방이후 한국불교의 혼란한 상황을 능동적으로 대응하기 위해 불교행정, 대중을 위한 경전과 선어록 강의, 포교의 현장에서 자신의 일생을 보냈다. Gyeongbong Jeongseok (鏡峰 靖錫, 1892~1982) is a representative figure of Korean modern Buddhism . The Origin of Gyeongbong ’ s Thought is the Hwaeom Forest Convention and Kanhwaseon Meditation System . the Hwaeom Forest has a direct relation with his performance , mission , and enlightenment . the Hua - yen gotra - sambhava and the Realm of Conditioned Arising in the Avatamska Sutra revealed the Buddha - nature and gave the Buddha ' s roots the source of enlightenment for Gyeongbong . The Hwajeong Forest was an occasion to remind Buddhists that they were Buddha . Hwadu meditation became an opportunity to actually confirm the AvataMska thoughts . He confirmed the realization of enlightenment through Hwadu meditation . Gyeongbong entered the world after the completion of the performance through the Hwaeom Forest and the Kanhwaseon Meditation System . Since the Japanese colonial period and liberation , he spent his life in the field of Buddhist administration , scripture lectures , and proselytes for the public to proactively respond to the turbulent situation of Korean Buddhism . |
