| 摘要 | This paper discusses the Mongolian translation of chapter 14 of the Lalitavistara. Referring to the original Sanskrit, its focus is on a comparison between the Tibetan and Mongolian texts, discussing portions that are not translated in a word-by-word manner. In the Mongolian translation, there are cases of word order adjustment, Sanskrit transliteration of names, translated words for which no Sanskrit exists, differences in added or deleted words, disagreement with the source, and so on. In this regard, the author offers some hypotheses for the causes of these phenomena. |
