| 摘要 | "宗教"這兩個漢字的文字含義在不同時代和地區,因其字根、語源和詞義相互影響、包容、組合而產生變化,包括印度的佛教、西方的基督宗教和日本的和制漢語等等。文章從歷史的角度觀察,通過溯源求根,解釋說明"宗教"一詞在語義上的變化及其來龍去脈,加深社會大眾對"宗教"兩字的認知和理解,同時發現僅僅在"宗教"這兩個漢字中,就隱藏著至少是三個或以上不同的世界:例如中國、日本、印度和歐美等等,見證了千百年來東西方文明的交匯。 "宗教",a Chinese word which contains two Chinese characters and which means religions,possesses different literal meanings in different times and places,including Buddhism in India,Christianity in the West,and Japanese-made Chinese words and so on,because its root,origin,and meaning influence,absorb and merge each other.Observing from the perspective of history,this paper aims to explain the changes of the meaning of "宗教" and their reasons by tracing to its origin,in order to enhance the general public’s understanding and cognition of this Chinese word.The findings of the present study have revealed that the Chinese word "宗教" involves at least three or more different places,for example,China,Japan,India,Europe,etc.,reflecting intercultural exchanges between the East and the West over the past thousand years. |
