Most modern philosophers pay attention to Buddhism, and everyone’s choice and construction of Buddhism are quite different.Among them,Kang Youwei’s and Tan Sitong’s views on Buddhism are the closest, which can be seen from four aspects:First,Buddhism should be examined in the relationship among Confucianism,Buddhism and Christianity, and they are keen to arrange the three religions in order.Second,to integrate the common purpose of the three religions with benevolence,so as to highlight the consistency of Buddhism,Confucianism and Christianity.Thirdly, they infuse modern values and demands into Buddhism, and affirm that Buddhism pursues equality.Fourth, they directly link Buddhism with the salvation of modern Chinese society, and give full play to the salvation function of Buddhism.
