| 摘要 | 염불은 서원을 세우는 본원에서 출발한다. 염불하는 방법상으로는 여러 가지가 있을 수 있으나 그 지향점은 현실에서의 안온함과 내세에서의 윤회로부터 벗어남이다. 본고에서는 본원을 근간으로 한 염불이 펼쳐지는 이른바 場으로서의 장엄을, 각 경전에 전개된 불국토 등의 장엄을 통해 나타난 場의 의미로 살펴보았다. 정토왕생에 대한 염불을 위해 근본적으로 갖춰야 할 본원과 수행자의 청정한 범행으로서의 끊임없는 장엄에 대해서, 정토의 場, 화엄의場, 그리고 밀교 만다라의 場을 통해 염불의 場은 곧 본원으로서 일체중생의 심식이며, 염불은 그 심식과 불국토의 장엄이라는 제 수행을 통해서 보살의 본원인 정토왕생으로 귀결되고 있는 것이다. 이러한 장엄의 場을 통하여 바라본 염불은 대승불전 전체의 가르침이라고 할 수 있는 수승한 반야공성의 체득이 그 목적임을 알 수 있다. 그리고 보살행의 본원에서 탄생한 염불수행은 자기의 능력이나 시대에 따라 여러 형태의 방법들로 다르게 표현되고 있음을 알 수 있었다. The remembrance of the Buddha begins at the time of the original vows in the beginning of the vows. There are many ways of doing the remembrance of the Buddha, but the aim is to escape from the unrest in reality and from the reincarnation in the afterlife. In this paper, I have examined the remembrance of the Buddha based on the original vow in the meaning of the maṇḍala through the Buddha-lands that can be called the ornamentation, as the so-called maṇḍala is developed in each scripture. This is a fundamentally essential element for the rebirth in the Pure Land. Here, the perpetual ornamentation of the performer is also a prerequisite. The maṇḍala of the Pure Land, the maṇḍala of the Hwaeom, and the maṇḍala of the esoteric mandala are the essences of all regeneration as well, and of the rebirth in the Pure Land, the original vows of the Bodhisattvas through the ornamentation of the Buddha-lands. By the remembrance of the Buddha seen through the maṇḍala of the perpetual ornamentation, we were able to see that the purpose of obtaining the prajñā. And carrying out or performing the remembrance of the Buddha, as is generated from the practice of the Bodhisattvas is expressed differently in various forms depending on the ability or period of the persons. |
