| 摘要 | 국악찬불가란 전통불교음악과 전통음악의 형식을 바탕으로 작곡된 찬불가를 뜻하는 것으로 본고는 전통불교음악의 뿌리를 찾고 그 것을 바탕으로 새로운 창작불교음악을 만들어가는 국악찬불가운동이 불교계와 국악계에 끼친 영향을 재조명해 봄으로써 한국 불교음악의 정체성을 조명해보고자 한다. 국악찬불가운동이 불교계에 끼친 영향으로는 첫째, 새로운 불교음악 장르인 국악 교성곡을 탄생시켰다는 것과 불교음악의 정체성을 확보했다는 것이다. 둘째, 불교음악원의 설립으로 전통불교음악의 전승과 새로운 한국 불교음악의 창출에 기여하고 있다는 점이다. 마지막으로 불교음악의 정체성 확립으로 한국 불교음악을 세계에 알리는 데 큰 역할을 할 수 있다는 것이다. 국악찬불가운동은 국악계에도 주목할 만한 영향을 끼쳤다. 첫째, 국악과 불교음악의 역사적 관계를 확립했으며 새로운 국악곡을 탄생시켰다는 것이다. 불교음악과 국악은 같은 뿌리를 두고 형성되었다고 볼 수 있기에 새롭게 탄생된 국악 교성곡은 불교계의 성과인 동시에 창작국악의 새로운 장르를 탄생시킨 국악계의 성과이기도 하다. 둘째, 국악 애호가의 증가와 국악 전공자 일자리 창출에 기여했다는 것이다. 국악찬불가의 활성화로 많은 불자들의 국악에 대한 관심이 증가하였으며, 특히 봉은국악합주단의 창단은 국악 전공자들의 활동기반 확장에 큰 역할을하였다. Korean Buddhist music by re-examining the influences of the Korean traditional Buddhist hymns (Gukak Ch’anbulga) movement, which seeks the roots of traditional Buddhist music and creates new creative Buddhist music based on it. The first influence that the Korean Buddhist hymns Movement has made to the Buddhist community is that it has created a new Buddhist music genre and has secured the identity of Korean Buddhist music. Second, the establishment of the Buddhist Music Institute is contributing to the transmission of traditional Buddhist music and the creation of new Korean Buddhist music. Finally, by establishing the identity of Buddhist music, it can play a big role in promoting Korean Buddhist music to the world. The Korean Buddhist hymns Movement also showed remarkable influences in the Korean music community. First, it established a historical relationship between Korean traditional music and Buddhist music and created a new Korean traditional music genre. Second, it contributed to the increase in the number of Korean classical music lovers and the creation of jobs for Korean traditional music majors. |
