| 摘要 | 원불교 교리도에 나타난 교리체계는 법신불 일원상을 신앙의 대상과 수행의 표본으로 모실뿐만 아니라, 특히 심불일원상(心佛一圓相)을 화두로 삼아 깨달음에 이르도록 하였다. 종교현상으로 본 불교와 원불교의 특징은 첫째로 봉안된 부처님의 모습이 불상과 일원상으로 다르다는 것이며, 둘째로 신앙의 방법이 불상에 대한 예불과 불공 중심이라면, 원불교는 곳곳마다 부처님 일마다 불공하는 사사불공(事事佛供) 중심의 신앙이며, 셋째로 수행방법이 조용한 곳에서 참선 위주의 수행을 한다면, 원불교는 언제 어디서나 한마음을 밝히는 무시선(無時禪) 위주의 마음공부이며, 넷째로 불상은 부처님의 지혜와 인격을 경배하자는 것인데, 심불(心佛)일원상은 화두로 삼아 깨달음의 대상으로 늘 마음에 모시고 한마음을 깨치도록 하였다. 원불교 국제교화는 현재 23개국 67개 도시에 교당과 30여 기관이 있고, 140여명의 교역자가 외국에서 봉사와 후원활동 중심으로 교화를 병행하고 있다. 경전은 10개 국어로 번역출판 되어 있고 15개 국어로 번역이 진행 중에 있다. 종교연합운동을 중심으로 국제종교 단체들과 협력관계를 활발하게 유지하고 있다. 원불교의 교리 체계가 생활 속에서 수행할 수 있도록 합리적이며 현대인들에게 잘 맞는 종교모형을 제시해주고 있기 때문에, 인재양성과 경제적인 뒷받침만 되면 앞으로도 원불교가 가는 곳마다 호응을 받을 것이라고 전망된다. The doctrine system shown in Won Buddhism doctrinal chart not only serves Dharmakaya Buddha Il-won (the One Circle,一圓相) as the target of faith and example of practice but led people to enlightenment especially with Mind-buddha Il-won (the One Circle,心佛一圓相) as a topic(話頭). The characteristics of Buddhism and Won Buddhism in terms of religious phenomena are as follows: First, the figures of enshrined Buddha are different, the statue of the Buddha and Il-won (the One Circle as A Mind-buddha). Second, the methods of faith are different. Buddhism focuses on Buddhist prayers and Buddhist service for the statue of the Buddha, whereas Won Buddhism is the Sasabulgong(事事佛供) centered faith that offers a Buddhist prayer for every Buddha affair everywhere. Third, Buddhism emphasizes meditation-oriented practice in a quiet place while Won Buddhism is mind practice with a focus on timeless Seon(無時禪) lightening One Mind anytime anywhere. Fourth, the statue of the Buddha is for worshipping the wisdom and personality of Buddha but a Mind-buddha Il-won (the One Circle) encouraged people to enlighten One Mind with it as a topic towards the enlightenment while always serving Buddha in mind. Currently, international edification of Won Buddhism is conducted in about 30 agencies and temples in 67 cities in 23 countries and approximately 140 priests are carrying out edification with a focus on volunteer work and sponsored activities abroad. The scriptures were translated and published in 10 languages and translation is in progress in 15 languages. Won Buddhism is actively maintaining cooperative relations with international religious organizations around United Religions Movement. Since the doctrine system of Won Buddhism is reasonable for life practice and presents a religious model suitable for modern people, Won Buddhism is expected to receive good response anywhere in the future only if talented priests are trained and economic support is made. |
