This paper is a continuation of “Annotated Japanese Translation of the Abhidharmasamuccaya and its Bhāṣya (2)” and intends to revise the Sanskrit texts of the Abhidharmasamuccaya and its Bhāṣya and to make a Japanese translation of them. This paper gives translation to a part of the establishment (vyavasthiti) of saṃskāra in the first tridharma chapter of the first part, i.e., the maula part. In the establishment of the saṃskāra, the caitasikadharmas are enumerated and defined in terms of their characteristics (lakṣaṇa) and functions (karman). In this part rāga, pratigha, māna, avidyā, vicikitsā and five-drstis are enumerated and defined. Furthermore, five-drstis are classified from some points of view such as ātmadrsti and ātmīyadrsti. The translation was done by Abhidharmasamuccaya Study Group: Yoshihiko Nasu prepared a working translation and annotations, then Kazuo Kano and all other members examined and revised them. Li Xuezhu gave us a full cooperation in editing and revising the Sanskrit texts included in this paper.
