| 摘要 | This paper is a continuation of "Annotated Japanese Translation of the Abhidharmasamuccaya and its Bhāṣya (1)", and intends to rerevise the Sanskrit texts of the Abhidharmasamuccaya and its Bhāṣya, and make a Japanese translation of them. It is due to two major points, the one is that no complete Japanese translation of either text has been published so far, the other is that some damaged parts in the extant manuscript of the Abhidharmasamuccaya can be recovered from a newly discovered Sanskrit manuscript. On the latter point, we greatly rely on the Sanskrit manuscript of the Abhidharmasamuccayavyākhyā (ASVy) detected by Li Xuezhu, which includes the nearly full texts of the Abhidharmasamuccaya and its Bhāṣya. We separately published the Sanskrit text and Japanese translation of the beginning part of the ASVy which consists of the opening verses and its annotations. This paper gives translation from the establishment (vyavasthiti) of the vedanā to the half of the establishment of saṃskāra in the first tridharma chapter of the first part, i.e. the maula part. In the establishment of the saṃskāra, the caitasikadharmas are enumerated and defined in terms of their characteristics (lakṣaṇa) and functions (karman). The translation was done by Abhidharmasamuccaya Study Group; Yoshihiko Nasu prepared a working translation and annotations, then Kazuo Kano and all other members examined and revised them. Li Xuezhu gave us a full cooperation in editing and revising the Sanskrit texts included in this paper. |
