| 摘要 | 『신심명』은 승찬이 달마의 벽관을 공부하고 최초로 쓴 선서이다. 그래서 중론의 반야를 그대로 잇고 있으면서도 중국식 선을 최초로 보여준 문헌으로 인정되고 있다. 그러나 『신심명』에 대하여 30여종의 주석이 있지만 분석적 연구는 그리 많지 않다. 성철의 법문이나 김태완이 『신심명』을 찬탄하고 설명한 책이 있지만 비판하거나 분석한 것은 아니다. 그럼에도 『신심명』은 벽암록에 인용되고 있는 것처럼 중국선종의 사상적 기반을 되고 있으므로 선종을 공부하자면 『신심명』의 분석은 필수적일 것이다. 그래서 『신심명』을 분석해 보면 뜻밖에도 『신심명』의 화법은 여러 가지 면에 있어서 반야사상과 달마의 벽관에 대비 되는 모습을 보이고 있다. 이와 같은 입장에서 본고는 『신심명』의 논조와 화법을 분석하여 승찬의 선지의 표현에서 반야사상과 벽관에 대비되는 점을 분석해 보고자 한다.
SinSimMyeng (信心銘) is the first zen-book [禪書] which Sungchan (僧璨; ?~606) wrote after he studied Byekkwan (壁觀). Then it is inherited the Banya (般若) of JungRon (中論) and recognized the book which has shown the Chinese Zen first. However there are thirty kinds of annotated book about SinSimMyeng but there is little analytical study on the topic. Even though there was the delivery of Sungchul (性徹) or the book which Kimtaewan (金泰 玩) was admiring and explaining , there were not either criticisims or analytic point in the books. For SinSimMyeng has been the ideological basis of Chinese Zen as being quoted by ByekAmRok (碧巖錄). Of anyone wants to learn the Order of Chinese Zen it is essential for him to study SinSimMyeng.
But I found several problems in this research. That was, analyzing SinSimMyeng shows the unexpected fact that the speech style in that book shows a confrontational face against the Idea of Banya and Dharma (達磨)’s Byekkwan (壁觀) in some aspect. Given this opinion, this paper will analyze the tone and style of the speech in SinSimMyeng and point out the fact that it created the alteration of the Idea of Banya and Dharma’s Byekkwan in expression of Sungchan (僧璨)’s Sungy [禪旨] |
