The Maoshi Zhuanjian Tongshi written by Ma Ruichen during the Qing dynasty is a representative work of the studies of The Book of Songs(Shijing) and has significant academic value. However, due to the limitations of the times, it can be seen that the author comes to several mistaken conclusions in the book. This paper analyzes the meaning and use of several key terms in the text, compares different versions from the Dunhuang documents with relevant textual research of the Maoshi Zhuanjian Tongshi, discusses the value of the Dunhuang version, and summarizes the virtues and deficiencies of the Maoshi Zhuanjian Tongshi.
