| 摘要 | In this paper, I discuss the Gen ben shuo yi qie you bu chu jia shou jinyuan jie mo yi fan 根本説一切有部出家授近圓羯磨儀範, ʼPhags paʼs manual of ordination procedure and ritual, and compare it to the Las brgya rtsa gcigpa and the Gen ben shuo yi qie you bu bai yi jie mo 根本説一切有部百一羯磨. Though the Gen ben shuo yi qie you bu chu jia shou jin yuan jie mo yi fan is largely based on the Las brgya rtsa gcig pa, it displays sufficient original characteristics, mainly in its structure and arrangement of topics, to regard it as a work in its own right. Among the differences between the texts, one can cite the following examples. (1) While the Gen ben shuo yi qie you bu chu jia shou jin yuan jie mo yi fan lists thirty-nine topics, the Las brgya rtsa gcig pa (Chapter I Rabtu byung ba’i gzhi’i skabs kyi cho ga dang las) contains only thirty-six topics. (2) The itemized list enumerating the topics in their abridged form is found only in the Preface of the the Las brgya rtsa gcig pa. (3) While the Las brgya rtsa gcig pa each abbreviated name is numered, no numeration is used in the Gen ben shuo yi qie you bu chu jia shou jin yuan jie mo yi fan. This makes the parallel passage in the Gen ben shuo yi qie you bu chu jia shou jin yuan jie mo yi fan shorter. We can therefore conclude that although ʼPhags pa undoubtedly used the material of the Las brgya rtsa gcig pa (as well as of the Gen ben shuo yiqie you bu bai yi jie mo), his Gen ben shuo yi qie you bu chu jia shou jin yuan jie mo yi fan also contains original additions and modifications which he felt necessary for the clarity and precision of the monastic procedures and rituals he dealt with. |
